Stewardship Exploration Committee:back
to top
The Stewardship Exploration Committee meets at least
quarterly to discuss ways to foster a greater appreciation of the
gifts, talents and time the Lord has given us so that we
canappropriately respond to these with our own generosity. This
involves areas such as liturgy, fund-raising, and encouraging a greater
spirit of involvement in our parish.
Building and Groundsback to top
Building and Grounds is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of all parish property and equipment. Electricians, masons, plumbers, carpenters, organizers, gardeners, and others with special skills provide organization and leadership for a variety of parish projects. Amateur do-it-yourself-ers are also in great demand. But even if swinging a hammer, wielding a paint brush or pulling weeds isn’t your “thing”, you can assist in planning, coordinating, inviting bids for contractual work and the like. This is a great way to meet your fellow parishioners. Actually, the only requirement is a little time and willingness to help with any project at hand.
If you have questions or are interested, please call
Tom Bott at 446-8724.
Sewing/Laundering of Church Linensback
to top
The members of the Rosary Guild take care of the
altar linens. Volunteers should attend the meeting of the Rosary Guild
to be aware of the different services we contribute to the welfare of
the parish. More volunteers are always needed.
For more information, call Thelma Taylor at 446-5838.
Parish Councilback to top
The Parish Council is a consultative body that assists and advises the Pastor in conducting the spiritual and secular affairs of the parish. Council membership is made up of nine parishioners selected by lottery to a 3-year term, the two parish trustees, the grade school principal, the Pastor. Selection of two or three new council members is held each year in June.
Visitors are welcome at council meetings, which are
held on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the conference
room at the parish office.
Finance Councilback to top
This committee assists the Pastor in planning and preparing the annual parish operating budget, analyzes expenditures in light of budgeted goals, and prepares financial reports for the Parish Council and pastor.
One of the committee’s main functions is to increase parishioners’ awareness of the need and opportunities for their support of St. Paul’s through regular stewardship. If you can help by developing information about such income producers as bequests, memorials, tax benefits for gifts to the parish or other revenue projects, call the parish office at 442-5313 or any of the finance committee members.
