These two parish events are coordinated
and handled by parish volunteers each school year. To become involved
as a volunteer or for more information, call Jennifer Martindill at
442-5313.
Freedom Years Luncheon:back to top
Volunteers serve a luncheon three times a year at the Motsett Center,
Primarily for retired parshioners. The luncheons include door prizes
and entertainment. Volunteers are always needed to help organize and
decorate.

Funeral Dinners:back to top
A meal is provided at no cost to alleviate the concern of the bereaved
and to feed everyone after the funeral. The meal is arranged for the
bereaved after a phone contact with the funeral dinner coordinator to
determine the approximate number attending. Depending on the need,
volunteers are contacted once every 9 - 12 months to provide a covered
dish or dessert. The meat, bread, drinks, condiments, plates, etc....
are provided by the parish. The dinner is held at the Motsett Center.
Donations are accepted but not necessary.

Parish Picnic:back to top
The parish picnic is a yearly event put on by our Parish Council in the
fall at Kennekuk Cove Park. It is a way for all St. Paul's members to
come together for fun, fellowship and good food. We begin with a Mass
at 11:30 a.m. at the White Oak Barn. Then food is served, fun and games
follow. We ask that you bring your own
lawn chairs, ball gloves, soccer balls, etc..... We are always looking
for volunteers to help with the picnic. Call the parish office ar
442-5313 and watch the Sunday Bulletin for more information on this
yearly event.
Special Events Dinner for Clergy:back to top
We provide a formal dinner for all the priests in Danville area two or
three times a year. The dinner is held in the rectory prior to the
penance services for Advent and Lent. If needed, we provide a meal when
the Bishop is visiting our parish for Confirmation, etc.....
No training is necessary. Normally the meal preparation involves most
of the day since some of the food is prepared at home. We need
volunteers who love to cook and are willing to serve the priests when
called upon.

Sunday Coffee and Donuts:back to top
Coffee donuts are served on the third Sunday of each month after the
8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Masses. It is served at the Motsett Center with
the exception of the month of May. In
May, the coffee and donuts are served in conjunction with the annual
art show held in the school gym.
